The Audit Log — who did what, when

Every add, change and delete on your records is written to a permanent audit trail nobody can edit — you see your own actions; the owner sees the whole team's.

What this is for

When a record looks different from how you remember it, the Audit Log answers 'who changed this, and when' with certainty instead of memory. Every create, edit and delete on your money entries, documents, contacts, stock, payroll and diary is recorded automatically — with who did it, when, and what changed.

How to open it

It's in the Reports section of the sidebar and the mobile Reports sheet, or straight at worklog.co.za/audit-log. Everyone can open it: you always see your own actions; the business owner sees everyone's. There is nothing to switch on and no way to switch it off.

Why you can trust it

The trail is written by the database itself the moment a record changes — not by the app asking nicely — and no one, the owner included, can edit or delete an entry. The one exception is deliberate: when the app's own privacy tools erase someone's personal details (a POPIA request, or your data-retention settings), the erased record's history goes with it, so an erasure can never leave a copy behind.

Good to know

The dashboard's Team activity widget shows the latest entries at a glance — add it from the board's gallery.
