What this is for
Under the day-to-day cards (the setup checklist, Quick Log and Needs you today), the dashboard has Your board — a set of widgets you choose yourself. A widget is a small live view of a report: Profit trend, Cash flow, who owes you, SARS deadlines, this week's diary and about twenty more. Each person on the team has their own board, and it follows you between your phone and computer.
Customise it
- Tap Customise at the top right of the board.
- Use the ↑ ↓ arrows (or drag, on a computer) to reorder, and ✕ to remove a widget.
- Tap + Add widget to open the gallery — it only offers widgets your access allows, grouped the same way the tools are.
- On widgets that follow a time window, tiny Board / M / Y buttons let you pin that one card to Month or Year instead of the board's own switch.
- Tap Done when you're happy, or Reset to suggested to go back to the standard board for your role.
Reading a widget
Stat cards show one number with its change against the prior period, and every card says its own window and basis right on it — 'Aug · accrual, as on P&L' or 'money that moved, VAT incl.' — so two cards can never quietly answer different questions under the same look. Chart widgets have two tabs: Chart is the picture, Details is the actual rows (the same figures the full report computes), and the footer link opens that report. The Share button on a chart widget sends its numbers out through your phone's share sheet — handy for WhatsApping the month to a partner.
Good to know
Widgets respect access levels: a widget never appears — in the gallery or on a saved board — for someone whose permissions don't cover the tool it reads. Plan-locked widgets show a padlock and open the upgrade options.
